About the Artist
Neldon Bullock mastered the art of marquetry, the intricate process of selecting and precision-cutting naturally colored and textured woods, then inlaying the veneer into an artistic concept. This art form traces its roots back to ancient Egypt, blending craftsmanship and design in every detail.
Staying true to the integrity of the medium, Bullock avoided stains, artificial texturing, putties, or fillers, relying solely on the natural hues and grains of fine wood. His materials were sourced from around the world — Padauk Vermillion from the Andaman Islands, Satine from South America, Rosa Peroba from Brazil, Lacewood from Australia, Gaboon Ebony from Africa, and various native species. Each was hand-sliced to approximately three-eighths of an inch to achieve remarkable depth and dimension in his work.
We are honored to offer high-quality, limited-edition prints of Bullock’s exceptional marquetry pieces — faithfully reproduced from his original works.
Because Bullock’s body of work is now complete, and no new marquetry pieces or prints will be created, these limited-edition prints have become especially collectible, representing a rare opportunity to own a piece of his enduring legacy.
This is a rare collection of art, once all Neldon's pieces are sold, no additional pieces will be printed. Regarding printing under different dimensions, Neldon Bullock said himself, "Legally [I can print limited editions at another size], but not morally, I'll never do it." His family chooses to honors his statement.

SPRINGVILLE MUSEUM OF ART
“I have studied the art of Neldon Bullock, possibly America’s finest artist in marquetry, for some years. As an art historian, what appeals to me is his absolute dedication to quality; quality of materials, craftsmanship and artistry. The quality of craftsmanship and his representations of the American West bespeak an artist of integrity. Almost singlehandedly he has taken marquetry in America to a fine art. As a museum director I fully recommend Neldon Bullock to curators and collectors.”
